The spirit of a place or a moment is the start of Hanny Heetmans’ art projects. She takes photographs intuitively and explores the pure essence of it. She creates alternative realities by adding new dimensions through visual effects and drawings. Her great analytical and photographic skills and empathy prompt these photo images.

Hanny finds inspiration from her multicultural life experiences (from Rotterdam and Wageningen to Kenia and Indonesia). She is inspired by both city and landscape environments. Hanny creates unique and fascinating works characterised by a meaningful and serene atmosphere with a refined quality. Her work is regarded as of a ‘mysterious beauty’.
Hanny loves to communicate about art and share her knowledge and understanding. She assists people with exploring and discovering the great value of art in workshops and personal consults.
