Beeldend kunstenaar, Hanny Heetman neemt je mee naar een nieuwe wereld. In haar lezing licht zij haar werk toe. Ze maakt haar (reis)foto’s intuïtief met de mens in de stad of het landschap als leidraad. Aan de originele foto voegt zij haar persoonlijke beleving van de plek toe door visuele effecten en tekeningen. Hierdoor ontstaat een nieuwe werkelijkheid. Te zien als een spel tussen fantasie en waarneming, tussen schilderachtig- en fotografische beelden. Haar werk kenmerkt zich door een serene sfeer met een verfijnde kwaliteit.

Na haar studie Landschapsplanning aan Wageningen Universiteit reisde en werkte Hanny 11 jaar in Egypte, Kenia en Indonesië. Vervolgens maakte zij studiereizen naar Berlijn, Japan, Parijs en New York.

Hanny werkt in haar atelier in Arnhem. Daar ontvangt zij met veel plezier kunstliefhebbers op afspraak. Om ieder de waarde van kunst te laten ontdekken organiseert Hanny, Art-Based-Learning workshops in musea naar keuze. Een toegankelijke, verrassende en leuke manier voor ieder die persoonlijk de betekenis van kunst wil ervaren. Zij geeft de workshops op maat voor (kleine) groepen. 

10 februari wordt er naast de geëxposeerde werken ook een speciale selectie van haar werk getoond, inclusief haar kunstcahiers en foto-archief-abonnementen. Het werk is te koop.

Na afloop van de lezing is er voldoende gelegenheid om kennis te maken met Hanny en tot het nuttigen van een drankje.

1/2/8/9 July 2023 groupexihibition | FAVORITES | in VISSERHALLEN, Duinstraat 4, IJmuiden. Photographs, books, lithographs and collages are presented. A fascinating groupexhibition with 16 participants. The raw and industrial character of the VISSERHALLEN determined my selection of favorite works:              man in urban space | photo paintings + photo collages. Work I made after my travels to Berlin, Paris and Tokyo; personal memories of dreams and urban spaces form the beginning of an universal story and are depicted with mixed techniques.                                                        Especially for this exhibition I made a selection of fine art prints from the series PARIS | BERLIN and RANDWIJK. My recent publications new reality 01 | dreamscapes and new reality 02 | beyond the image and photo subscriptions CORONA | FOLIUM and LIGHT | DARK are also available (see ART|SHOP).

Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 1,2 and 8,9 July 13.00 -17.00 hrs. I will be present on 1 and 9 July and would like to meet and talk about my work.

7 juni 2023 Lecture in Zutphen | A new reality | for the 100-year-old photographers' collective 'de Zutphense' about my work, inspiration and working method. How I edit, paint and present my travel photos to make my personal observations and emotions visible. I showed artworks I made started by travels to South East Asia with various framing techniques. The enthusiastic group of photographers told me they were inspired by my lecture. A nice compliment given by the well-known photographer's collective.  

Spring 2023 - I followed a series of inspiring lectures by Japanologist and art historian Inge Klompmakers of the Vrije Academie. From prehistory to the present day. Impressive images and information that encourage new work by applying this new knowledge to my travel photos. Such as adding subtle, but powerful atmospheric signs: fog, rain and snow by drawing on my orignal photo-images. 

Art-Based-Learning Workshop had a successfull start in recently opened Eicas Museum in Deventer. On international women's day an enthousiastic group of friends attended the workshop. Reaction "I never thought I could look at a work of art for so long. And that it would give me valuable personal insights. It opened my eyes. A fun way to learn from art".
