I am very pleased to announce my solo exhibition | BEYOND THE IMAGE | in Pulchri Studio. On January 24-th at 16.00 hrs. the show will be festively opened. Recent paintings will be exhibited with photographs inspired by my travels in South-East Asia. Specially for this occasion I wil launch two new art-cahiers: new reality 03 | On his own Pu-Yi emperor in a fading dynasty + new reality 04 | Lost in time. Both cahiers show photographs on fine art paper of my art projects.

Pulchri Studio - Voorjaarssalon - den Haag 17 mei t/m 15 juni 2025

De tentoonstelling wordt geopend op zaterdag 17 mei 2025 om 17:00 uur door Jacob Hartog, namens de Jacob Hartog Stichting. Tijdens de Voorjaarssalon krijgen alle kunstenaarsleden van Pulchri Studio de gelegenheid hun nieuwste werk te presenteren. Zij dingen daarmee mee naar de Jacob Hartog Prijs, een geldbedrag van 2500 euro, ook dit jaar weer gul beschikbaar gesteld door de Jacob Hartog Stichting. De prijsuitreiking vindt plaats tijdens de feestelijke opening. Van harte welkom! 

Voor deze tentoonstelling heb ik het recente gemaakte  4-luik | Serenity | geselecteerd; een fotografische collage van foto's die ik maakte in Japan aan de oever van lake Fuji en in een studio. De spirituele atmosfeer aan de voet van Mount Fuji en de klassieke Japanse studio-fotografie bepaalden mede de verstilling van het werk.

The Art Based Learning workshop on 16-02-2025 was attended with great enthusiasm and openness. The exhibitions; I touched you with a flower, Adya & Otto and Abstract art of women then and now, proved to be a great source of inspiration for the participants. By entering into a personal dialogue with one work of art, new insights were gained.

Many thanks to the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam for the warm welcome and use of the studio to share experiences afterwards.

In honor of their accession, the artists who became members of Pulchri in 2024 present their work in a joint exhibition. 21-12-2024 to 20-01-2025, Pulchri Studio, The Hague. Pulchri Studio is an artist association and gallery that has existed since 1847 but still feels very young. Every month there are changing exhibitions of, among others, artist members of Pulchri Studio who exhibit contemporary art in the halls of this beautiful building.
